Equipment Inspection: Fox Fuel may inspect the equipment before activating the plan. If the equipment is deemed unacceptable, the plan may be canceled, and a full refund will be issued. This agreement applies to one domestic burner only; additional pricing applies for multiple or non-domestic units.
Plan Termination: This plan will automatically terminate without refund if:The customer ceases to purchase oil exclusively from Fox Fuel.
Payments for oil, parts, labor, or other chargeable items are not made when due.
The customer fails to adhere to the plan terms or violates the eligibility requirements.
Fox Fuel shall not be required to perform any service after termination. Heating maintenance is available only to customers regularly supplied with oil by Fox Fuel.
Repairs Not Covered: Repairs needed to bring the burner to an acceptable condition are not covered under the service charge. Fox Fuel is not responsible for the replacement of obsolete or unobtainable parts. Further, Fox Fuel is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from failure or delay in performing service due to circumstances beyond its control.
Customer Responsibilities: The company is not responsible for calls resulting from:Blown fuses, tripped circuit breakers, sludge in tanks, failure to maintain water levels, switches in the off position, flood or fire damage, thermostat not calling for heat, or insufficient oil levels (except for automatic delivery customers). These calls will be billed at prevailing rates.
Payment and Renewals: Agreements renew annually unless either party gives 30 days written notice of intent to cancel. Payment must be made on time, and customers must promptly report billing issues or update payment details.
Service Coverage and Limitations:Basic Burner Care: Includes cleaning of the heater, chimney base, smoke pipe, inspection, lubrication, and burner adjustments for efficiency. Parts are not included; labor covers cleaning only.
Complete Burner Protection: Includes Basic Burner Care plus repair or replacement of essential parts such as Fan and Limit Control, Pressure Control, Oil Pump, Oil Burner Motor, Ignition Transformer, Nozzle, Oil Filter, Electrodes, and Burner Coupling.
Premium Comfort Care: Covers everything from Complete Burner Protection, with additional parts coverage, including Primary Control, Blower Motor (up to 1/3 HP, excluding ECM motors), Circulator Relay, Smoke Pipe, Draft Regulator, Zone Valves (up to ¾" and only one per year), Standard Circulator, and Relief Valves. Also eliminates after-hours service charges for emergencies.
Service Hours: Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Emergency service is available on weekends and holidays for critical issues like no heat, serious fuel leaks, or dangerous situations. Non-emergency service requests on weekends or holidays will incur charges at the prevailing hourly rate.
Emergency Service:Winter Schedule: September 15 through May 15, including weekends and holidays for emergencies.
Summer Schedule: May 16 through September 14. Emergency after-hours calls during summer are limited to hot water customers with a summer-winter hookup. Heat-only customers are excluded from weekend and holiday service during the summer.
Liability and Exclusions: Fox Fuel is not liable for any losses due to delays caused by power outages, extreme weather, or other factors beyond its control. Maintenance of the fuel tank and oil lines remains the sole responsibility of the customer. The company excludes liability for tank condition, sludge buildup, or oil line leaks. Draining or refilling hydronic systems is not covered under any plan.
Hourly Rate: $210
General Notes:Repairs required to bring burners to an acceptable condition are excluded.
This agreement contains no other terms and conditions beyond those explicitly stated here.
Payment Methods: Debit card, credit card, COD (with approved credit), or check. Payment details must be current to maintain plan benefits.
After-Hours Service: Calls outside standard hours are billed at overtime rates unless specified otherwise.
